Year 1

Today we were thinking about questions. We used hot seating to help us generate questions to ask Jack and his mum. Elena did a very good job pretending to be Jack's Mum

Last week we planted some seeds we hope they grow!!

We listened to Vivaldi's Four seasons. We tried to listen for signs of Spring in the music. Mrs Ward then took us for a walk around school to see if we could hear and see any signs of spring outside. it was so nice to get out of the classroom! Spring is in the air!.

Welcome to Year 1!

Throughout the year, Year 1 have been learning lots of new things.

Last term we found out about life in the past and enjoyed a workshop about Old and New Toys.

We looked at the different parts of the plant and the jobs that they do.

This term, we will be learning about climates and habitats around the world and finding out why meerkats can't live in the North Pole.

We will also be finding out why humans are not like tigers.

Our favourite book last term was The Naughty Bus. Each morning we couldn't wait to find out what mischief he had been up to during the night.

We enjoyed a workshop by History Alive about Old and New Toys.
