Autumn 2
Celebrations!
This half term, we have been learning about celebrations from around the world, we looked at Halloween, Bon-fire night, Diwali, birthdays Thanksgiving and Christmas. The children experienced various cultures and were able to compare their own celebrations to that of others. As it was autumn, we observed the changes in the environment and explored seasons. Developing on what we had already learned, the children developed their letter formation into labelling. In phonics, we continued to learn phonemes and practise writing graphemes. We also grew our knowledge of words building. In Maths, we looked at the number bonds of numbers up to 5.
