Welcome

Welcome from Mrs Burns.

 Welcome to our School!

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to Gilded Hollins Community School - a school where we are proud of our high expectations for attainment, achievement, attitude and behaviour.

At Gilded Hollins our staff work hard to ensure that every pupil is enabled to shine in a positive, engaging and caring environment. The core value of respect underpins all that we do. We believe that our children have the ability to become tomorrow's leaders and, alongside parents, we aim to unlock the core values of self-respect, resilience, integrity, self-belief and kindness that lie within each and every one of them. We are committed to providing a stimulating and relevant education that offers a wide range of experiences and activities enriched by visits and visitors.

Our school is at the heart of the local community. It offers a real sense of belonging, co-operation and ambition. The supportive ethos on which we pride ourselves is present in all that we do.

Among our many strengths is our partnership between home and school. Children learn best when we work together: when your child sets out on their journey in education, our job begins and yours continues.

Pupils at Gilded Hollins are treated as individuals and we nurture the development of each one so that they grow to become the confident and caring citizens of tomorrow.

Our website provides information on the curriculum; the attainment of our pupils; about how we invest the Pupil Premium and Sports Premium allocated to school and the impact they have; a range of policies are available to view; and you can read how Ofsted rates us highly.

You can also find information about our dedicated staff and our Governing body.  The details of our Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) local offer are published, along with other information such as admission arrangements. Dates and events for the year ahead can be viewed and a link is provided for you to give your views of the school directly to Ofsted. There is also a section on Frequently Asked Questions that will hopefully prove useful. If there is anything else you would like to know, or are unable to find on the website, please do not hesitate to contact us.
