In D&T, we designed and made a windmill. When they were finished, we took them outside to test them and they worked!
To end our instructional writing unit, the children followed instructions to make a jam sandwich.
In English, we have been learning about nouns. We went on a noun hunt around the classroom.
We worked together to make some 3D sculptures by rolling card.
We have been finding one more and one less of a number in maths.
As part of our topic in science, we went out collecting leaves and then used them to do some line drawings. We also painted some autumnal pictures.
Year 1 have settled in really well and have made a great start to the year.
