I must say that I was very impressed with the behaviour of your pupils and also how they represented your school at today’s cricket competition at Golborne Sports. They really sold your school, so well done to everyone.
Your team’s outfit was very impressive and the children looked so professional and were befitting of a twenty - twenty match at Old Trafford.
Really good to see that a primary school is really promoting this sport to its full. Again, well done on putting out a team of children who I am sure will benefit from the good sportsmanship learnt in today’s competitive environment, like shaking hands at the end of games, which will lead (hopefully) to better classroom conduct.
Not sure how the team finished as I had to leave at 4pm,(think you were in the semi final?), whatever the result, Well Done to all the pupils of Gilded Hollins. They have thoroughly given an excellent impression of your school both in behaviour, sportsmanship and teamwork, so Well Done to year 6 at Gilded Hollins.

Just wanted to say, 'Well Done!' to you both (and anyone else involved) for your wonderful girl cricketers yesterday. It was clear to see how hard they and you have worked; they were well drilled and knew exactly what they were doing! A pleasure to watch!
What I loved more though was the was they represented school and carried themselves through the day. Always listening, first team to react when asked to do something, beautiful manners and just outstanding behaviour. They showed wonderful respect to their opponents when winning (which is a very rare sight at a competitive event I'm sure you will agree) and were just a joy to watch and to have at the event.

I’ve been at Sports Day this morning, my son is in Reception, and I just felt I had to send a message of thanks to all the staff and children at Gilded Hollins. It made me really emotional this morning to watch all the kids at different ages and how they treat each other. The older ones helping the younger ones finish their races, and giving those at the back an extra loud cheer of encouragement to help them finish. I was stood near the finish line and the older kids celebrated and congratulated each one who came to the end, no matter how long they took. No judging, no laughing, just a field full of love and support. It was just so lovely to see how they care for each other and made me feel so grateful that we chose to send our son here. I know he’s in really great hands.
